Our standard-compliant fitting bolts
Fitting bolts according to DIN 609
The DIN 609 fitting bolt is one of the most commonly used variants. It has a hexagonal head, a cylindrically turned shaft with fitting dimensions and a defined thread end. The precise tolerance of the shaft creates a play-free guide in the bore, so that components can be positioned exactly and permanently reproducibly. Fitting bolts DIN 609 are often used in stationary constructions where high strength and exact alignment are crucial.
Fitting bolts according to DIN 610
This version of the fitting bolt DIN 610 has an extended thread and is used when thicker components are joined or larger screw-in depths are required. Here, too, the exactly toleranced shaft ensures highly precise position fixing.
Shoulder fitting bolts according to ISO 7379
The shoulder fitting bolt (ISO 7379) has an enlarged shaft diameter – the so-called shoulder – and is used especially for movable connections, guides or sliding mechanisms. The shoulder area is precisely ground (e.g. tolerance class h8 or f9), which makes the screw ideal for axle and guide functions.
Typical applications: Swivel mechanisms, joints, linear guides, movement sequences in tool and mold making.
Materials & surfaces for the highest requirements of fitting bolts
The selection of the right material is crucial for the performance and service life of a fitting bolt. Depending on the application, different metallic materials are used. Our fitting bolts are available in various materials and coatings:
Steel plain / galvanized – cost-efficient & proven
Stainless steel A2 (V2A) / A4 (V4A) – for particularly humid, salty or aggressive environments
Black fitting bolts – galvanically zinc-plated, burnished or phosphated
Special materials – e.g. heat-resistant steels or duplex steels
You can find an overview of all available materials on our separate material page
Specialist for special fasteners in pressure equipment construction
We offer you reliability in safety-critical applications.
A particular focus of ASO Schrauben is, among other things, the production of special fasteners for pressure equipment. Our connecting elements are used wherever maximum safety, material quality and manufacturing precision are required – for example in pressure vessels, flange connections, heat exchangers, valves or steam systems, in turbine construction and in classic mechanical engineering.
Thanks to many years of experience and modern manufacturing technologies, we produce screws according to drawings or special standard specifications – even from a quantity of 1!
Our production meets the strict requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 2014/68/EU) and relevant regulations such as AD 2000-Merkblatt W0. The corresponding certificates (e.g. 3.1 / 3.2 according to EN 10204) document the quality and traceability of our products – a clear added value for safety-critical applications.
Advantages of a fitting bolt from ASO Schrauben
- Extensive warehouse with standard sizes immediately available
- Express production for short-term needs
- Certified quality according to DIN EN ISO 9001, AD W2000, QS system according to PED 2014/68/EU
- On request: factory certificates, material test certificates, acceptance tests
Good to know: Fitting bolts in detail
Fitting bolts are indispensable connecting elements when precise component positioning, play-free guidance and repeatable assembly accuracy are important. They are always used when normal screws do not allow a sufficiently exact position fixing due to their larger tolerance range. Especially in mechanical engineering, fixture construction and mold making, fitting bolts ensure perfect alignment and secure power transmission.
Due to their ground or tightly toleranced shaft, fitting bolts not only take over a classic screwing function, but also act as fitting pins, but with the advantage that they are removable, adjustable and service-friendly.
Fitting bolts are available in numerous dimensions or according to drawing. With the specification fitting bolt M6, a metric thread with a nominal diameter of 6.0 mm is defined. This thread designation is not only uniform for screws, but also for nuts and metric threaded rods.
Technical advantages of fitting bolts
Precise component guidance
Due to the tightly toleranced shaft, fitting bolts guarantee a play-free alignment of the mounted components.
Higher load capacity
Unlike pure fitting pins, fitting bolts take over both the fitting function and the screwing function. Thus, they are suitable for combined force-fit and form-fit connections.
Perfect repeatability
For assemblies that have to be dismantled and reassembled regularly.
Reduction of wear and vibrations
The play-free fit prevents micro-movements that can lead to wear or noise under dynamic loads.
Highest dimensional accuracy thanks to defined tolerances
The typical tolerances (h8, f9) ensure a perfect fit in fitting bores.
We manufacture everything for you - whether according to European or international standard!
Our special fasteners are used where standard solutions do not fit – for example, at high pressure, extreme temperatures, or aggressive media. Special fasteners made of special TÜV-tested pre-material are often the only solution in the industry for reliably implementing complex, safety-relevant applications.

Our other types of fasteners
Special screws and custom screws can be designed in very different designs and functional types. Our standard screw types include stud bolts, threaded rods, and studs, which are frequently used in pressure equipment or flange connections. Other variants include socket head cap screws, eye bolts or special screws with special thread forms. The combination of different head shapes, thread types, and materials results in highly specialized connecting elements that are precisely tailored to your requirements.
