Good to know: Special fasteners in detail
Special screws – also called custom screws – are screws that deliberately deviate from standard or standard parts (more or less “off-the-shelf”). In other words, they are not standardized according to the usual DIN, ISO, or EN standards, but are manufactured individually according to drawings, depending on the technical specification. Such individual parts are then also called drawing parts or custom screws according to drawings.
While DIN screws are usually produced in series according to standardized specifications, special screws offer significantly greater flexibility. These screws are not only manufactured according to special specifications, but can also be adapted to very specific application requirements based on drawings and constructive changes. This makes them suitable for technical projects that go beyond standardized solutions.
